    Date posted - September 30, 2020

We’re looking for a sales prospecting specialist to identify leads, initiate sales conversations, then handover qualified leads to our international Regional Managers.

Your first year will be a success if we increase the number of qualified outbound leads in our pipeline and can demonstrate increased revenue from deals you’ve created.

    Company overview

Ace Aquatec is a fast-growing and award-winning Scottish company developing new technologies to accelerate the adoption of responsible marine practices in aquaculture and offshore industries. We sell a variety of award-winning products, including ethical harvesting equipment, predator deterrents, 3D biomass cameras and systems to protect marine life from offshore construction.

    Role overview

We have Regional and Business Development Managers in Scotland, Norway, Chile and Australia. You’ll be prospecting for aquaculture companies and offshore construction projects outside of those target markets then handing over leads when you’ve identified a high-quality opportunity.

You will also respond to incoming enquiries and nurture distributor relationships to increase the quality and quantity of leads from those channels.

The role will primarily involve online research to identify relevant companies and engaging with prospective customers via email, phone and LinkedIn.

    Key responsibilities will include

    • Identify aquaculture and offshore sales opportunities in international markets
    • Respond to and qualify inbound leads
    • Qualify and nurture leads before handing them over to one of our Regional Manager
    • Educate leads on our products
    • Document leads and opportunities on our CRM system

    Desired attributes

    • Previous experience in a B2B sales prospecting role
    • Proven track record articulating a technical product to new prospects
    • Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM system
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge of aquaculture, marine or offshore industries

You’ll fit in well if you’re…

    • Self-motivated but know when to ask for support
    • Enthusiastic to take ownership of issues
    • Stimulated by problem-solving and finding better ways of working
    • Ambitious about learning and taking on more responsibility as the company grows

You will be based in our bright modern office at Dundee’s City Quay in future but we’re currently working remotely and are open to flexible working arrangements.
