Role overview:

We’ve grown quickly over the last few years with a focus on new product development, and we’re now putting more focus on developing the finance side of our team. You would be taking over a formerly part-time bookkeeping role and developing it into a core part of our commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility as the company grows.


We’re looking for a finance professional capable of thriving in a varied role that involves supporting senior management with financial reporting and guidance, partnering with our external accountant on audits and board reporting, and doing core bookkeeping tasks like billing and credit control.


You will contribute to our success by helping us make quicker, better financial decisions.


The ideal candidate will have a diligent approach to the transactional bookkeeping tasks and also the commercial acumen needed to provide reports and insights that guide management decisions.


You will have support from colleagues in the office but as the only member of our team 100% dedicated to Finance we will be relying on you to lead the way with our financial processes.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Take ownership of the business P&L; recommending ways to maximise profitable growth
  • Regular reporting and insight into financial KPIs
  • Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow tracking
  • Core bookkeeping tasks including: billing, processing payments, credit control, bank reconciliation, supporting customers with billing enquiries.
  • Support external Accountant with end of period reporting
  • Responsibility for the accuracy of our financial data
  • VAT/HMRC payments and processes


Desirable attributes:

  • Relevant accounting qualification
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Experience working with B2B international transactions and using IFRS standards

You will be based in our bright modern office at Dundee’s City Quay, right in the centre of the city, and we are open to flexible working arrangements.
