Regional Manager, Chile (Puerto Montt)

Ace Aquatec is a fast-growing Scottish company developing new technologies designed to accelerate the adoption of responsible marine practices in the aquaculture, commercial fishing and offshore industries. We sell and rent a variety of award-winning products, including in-water electric stunners, predator deterrents, 3D biomass cameras, and sea lice removal systems.

 

We’ve doubled revenue over the last three years, won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation two years in a row, and are expanding our team to support continued international growth.

 

Role overview:

In this role you will contribute to our success by leading our growth in Chile. You will develop new opportunities, grow revenue with existing customers, and establish the local support infrastructure needed to serve these customers.

 

As our first employee in the region you will need a good understanding of all aspects of running a small business, experience managing contractors, and financial acumen.

 

From a sales point of view, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a B2B sales or business development role, can identify customer needs, clearly communicate product value, and demonstrate previous success of building strong client relationships and achieving sales targets.

 

You will be the regional face of our business and should also be comfortable representing Ace Aquatec with local media, at industry events and in discussions with regulatory bodies.

 

You will be supported by global finance, operations and marketing colleagues in Scotland so fluency in both Spanish and English is necessary.

 

Organisation Structure:

You will report into the Head of Sales and Marketing. This role currently has no direct reports but it is expected you would become line manager for any future regional team members.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • P&L responsibility for Chile region
  • Nurture relationships with the local salmon farms and develop new opportunities
  • Establish operational capability to install and maintain products in your region
  • Manage local contractor and distributor relationships
  • Work with global colleagues to ensure local customer needs are met
  • Track sales opportunities using our CRM system
  • Recruit and support small local team as the region grows
  • Identify local industry trends that present opportunities for new products
