Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Illustrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, detailed, and user-friendly manuals that support our diverse product range. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers can effectively and safely use products like our in-water electric stunners, biomass cameras, and marine mammal protection devices.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating installation manuals, user manuals, fault-finding manuals, and spare parts catalogs for our aquaculture technologies, including in-water electric stunners, biomass cameras, marine mammal protection devices.
- Collaborating with engineering and product teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy in all illustrations and documentation.
- Developing visual content that enhances understanding of complex technical information, using software tools to create diagrams, illustrations, and layout designs.
- Ensuring all materials meet company standards for clarity, consistency, and branding, specifically tailored to our product offerings.
- Updating and revising documentation as needed to reflect product changes or enhancements, including new products in development.
The skills and experience you need:
- Proven experience as a technical illustrator or in a similar role, preferably within the technology or engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of technical concepts related to aquaculture technologies and the ability to translate them into clear, visual representations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with aquaculture or related industries, particularly in relation to in-water electric stunners, biomass cameras, and marine mammal protection devices, is a plus.
