About the role

The Warehouse Assistant will report to the QHSE & Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for following, supporting and, at times, leading established warehouse processes while maintaining a strong safety mindset and high operational standards.

The role plays an important part in the control of group rental assets and inventory management across the business, all of which are managed within the warehouse environment. Ensuring that all products and equipment are accurately accounted for and efficiently dispatched to customers is a key responsibility.

This is a vital role in supporting business operations by ensuring that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, stepping in to oversee operations in the absence of the QHSE & Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain accurate stock control procedures for all company equipment and inventory.
  • Receive, check, record, and dispatch goods in line with company procedures.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products to ensure accurate order preparation and fulfilment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including item details, locations, and stock levels.
  • Support the effective use and ongoing development of the stock management system to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in generating reports on stock availability, stock turnover, and aged inventory.
  • Carry out regular stock counts and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and coordinate with technicians for repairs or replacements where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity, efficiency, and processes.
  • Act as a key point of contact for warehouse collections and deliveries, including loading and unloading goods.
  • Ensure all biosecurity procedures are followed, including the quarantine and disinfection of equipment prior to repair or restocking.
  • Prepare and package shipments carefully and securely, maintaining high standards of presentation and brand representation.

What we're looking for

  • ​​​Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or stores role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Experience using stock management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance) desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices desirable.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence required.
